Dishonesty breeds distrust; distrust of an individual breeds a bad reputation. When we use others, we become undesirable to those around us; games have a way of ending with the major player being the loser. We can laugh now, but karma always has her day.... always.  Then think how our dishonest action effect those around us; it can teach your children bad habits and low morality. It can make others become jaded, and then in turn, they may begin to mistreat others as well. We can destroy our communities and eventually the world, one soul at a time by implanting our negative, selfish seeds in them. Or we can save it by passing on love, honesty and respect.

To all those who think they're smarter than the next person by lying, using or being an all consuming greedy individual... STOP... AND CHANGE. Your actions will seal your own tomb in the end, and the poison you leave behind will be that many more buckets of toxic water dumped into the ocean of mankind. Everything we do matters.

Religion tells us how to interact with the Divine, but a relationship just unfolds naturally. Think of the person you have known the longest in your life and are the closest to. What if someone suddenly came along and gave you a set of rules on how to interact with that person, would you blindly follow them? And what if those rules painted a picture of the person's personality that was inaccurate in many ways, would you accept that information? Relationship is something that two individuals have through personal interaction with one another. Religion, although interesting in many ways, is someone's thought's about another's personality... but did they really get to know the person?

One of my first ebooks, Hallows Eve, has been released from its original publisher. This was one of my first attempts at the e-market, and the small publisher left a lot to be desired with formatting etc. I always liked this book and thought it had greater potential to be more than it has been; although its sold fairly well around Halloween time. Now that the book is back in my control, I have been updating, revising, re-editing and expanding the manuscript. The revisions are almost complete, and the new, improved Hallows Eve will be out soon.

Some Haunted Haiku from my up in coming, revised and expanded version of HALLOWS EVE...

In darkened places
things lurk that man never sees
waiting to take us.

The clock strikes midnight

the dark outside your window

is filled with the dead.

Greetings all, you may have noticed some changes in the blogs appearance today. This is because I am making a few changes in its overall content and feel. There will still be inspirational messages, but there will be more sharing of poetry, writing etc. For a while now I have taken my writing back to the basics of poetry and horror stories, so I wanted the blog to also reflect that aspect of my creative side. Many subtle changes happening on this end, and I look forward to what the future holds in personal matters as well as spiritual and creative-wise. Have a spooky but blessed day!

No matter where you are, or where you go, the Divine presence is always there. Even in the most stressful of circumstances, peace can be found. God is the quiet space between fearful thoughts or obnoxious words; serenity is found between the notes in the music. All you have to do is tune into it.

Better a faith that is mystical, yet practical than a faith that is overly burdened with rules, complex theologies and fearful doctrines. This faith resides within your own heart, not in a building or through some organization. You are the church, the holy temple, the sanctuary... You will find the Divine therein.
