THE PEACE STEALERS

It doesn't do any good to worry, fret, be anxious, negative or up in arms about anything. All this behavior does is rob you of your peace in the moment. How much time do you spend worrying in a day? How much of your thought life is spent thinking about things that bother you or you don't like? How many ranting tangents do you have in a day, where you just let the negatively charged words fly? If we tally all these things up, how many hours of our day are spent contemplating and speaking about things that upset us? Perhaps we should be more mindful of these peace stealing moments. And stop them in their tracks by contemplating things that are peaceful, good and uplifting to the soul. Because after all, the things that deplete our own serenity in life will also spillover to those around us. Our own nervous and anxious energies not only affect us, but the people and environment around us. And that is not something that we want to do. It is better to be an agent of peace in a world where too many people are already on edge.
