COMPUTER PROBLEMS AND PARANORMAL IDEAS

   Having some computer problems this morning, so the blog is being written on my tablet. So, no fancy pictures or links, what a bummer. But hey, I'm feeling particularly creative today; especially when it comes to spooky paranormal ideas. I'm getting ready to start my new writing project, I have several in mind and I'm getting ready to choose one very soon. So in that spirit, I suggest we all take time today to read a scary poem, read a short story in the horror genre or rent a good horror movie when we get home from work this evening. It's like an old friend of mine used to say, you can't have enough horror. Have a spooky day!

   While pondering what to write on the blog this morning, I came across the quote below on the internet. It struck me very powerfully the moment I laid eyes on it... How many people allow others to ruin their lives, take away their happiness or kill some positive aspect of their personality? I think that we have all been there at one point in our existence; but the thing that I have learned is that no one truly has the power to impact your life in such a negative way. People will make bad choices, people will lie, use you and cheat. They will betray, change for the worse and hurt our feelings... But the secret is, when we encounter such people, let them live with the consequences of their own bad actions... Never, ever, give anyone the power to destroy your life or kill the best parts of who you are!

Never let yourself utter these words!

BULLYING

    Bullying is something that needs to be addressed in a serious manner. Parents need to discuss this issue with their children and make sure that they become neither the victim nor the one who bullies. Schools need tougher policies to assure that such behaviors will not be tolerated in their classrooms. It seems that bullying is at an all time high in the world today... It's bad enough that adults are doing it to one another, but when kids act so cruel towards one another, I think we have a serious problem. Children need to be made to understand the emotional and psychological damage bullying has on its victims. But perhaps the greatest cure for this social dysfunction is getting our young people back to morality and God.

COMING SOON

    I am happy to announce that I will have a new poetry book coming out soon! The title of my latest tome will be, Corridors at Dusk.. The poems in this collection harken back to my humble beginnings as a poet; when once I walked the abandoned walkways of an old mall where I used to live and compose melancholy poetry on scraps of paper. Life was changing in those days, and it was bitter sweet for sure. But it was a highly creative time and a time I would not change for anything. This is the poetry book I wanted to write then, but is coming to life now.. many years later. Some of the poems in this book are old, others are new and a nod to that time of rebirth in my life. I hope once it is released, you will all take the time to browse through what was born in those corridors at dusk at a time when creativity was new and raw with emotion!

YOU ARE MORE THAN MERE FLESH AND BONE

    The world we live in is filled with challenges; and most times, we don't know what lies around the next corner. Many people fear such things as accidents, illness, the bad economy and many other negative reports they may hear from the media. But if we really think about it, what is there to fear? You, the real you, is a spiritual/eternal being. Nothing in this world can truly harm the real you! And the real you is greater than anything in this temporary, physical world. And to make matters even more positive, you have God, the angels and a host of other spirit beings watching over you and helping you through the journey. Miracles do happen, healings do occur and good people thrive in poor economies. What do you have more faith in, God or a green piece of paper; God or illness? The Divine Spirit is there for us in our every need... and in the end, it welcomes us home with love, light and open arms! Is there really anything we should be afraid of?
