DESTRUCTIVE SEFISHNESS

We live in a world today where people feel entitled to do or have whatever they want without question. And if they do not get their way, they often explode with anger, behavioral episodes and even violence. I heard a story the other day about a person walking into a chiropractors office, and demanding to be seen on the spot without an appointment. The episode lasted almost two hours and was quite horrifying and traumatic to all involved. If we turn on the news we see stories of road rage violence, someone not driving the way someone else wants them to drive, so they open fire and people are injured or worse. We don't have to look very far to see people coming to blows or threatening one another over wearing mask during a pandemic or not wearing masks. What is society becoming?

I wrote the other day on the blog about not following the herd. And this is a glaring example of what not to do. Just because we see other people acting this way doesn't mean it's okay for us to do the same. Perhaps it is time to really sit and meditate on what loving our neighbor really means.
