These are definitely challenging times we are living in right now. Hospitals are overflowing with people sick from covid-19, there are no beds available, and ambulances with the sick and injured are being turned away because there is no more room in the hospitals. Even doctors and nurses are beining to get sick with the virus and some are, sadly, dying. Yet there are so many people who are still in denial. They want to do what they want to do, and look at a simple thing like wearing a mask in public as stealing their rights and their freedom. We have conspiracy cults and white supremacists gathering around the president of the United States, causing more upheaval and division in the country. And unfortunately, the president pulls their strings like a puppet master who is in control. People are fighting, lying, killing, becoming sick, dying and drawing lines in the sand as they make personal declaration of war on the rest of society... when we do all of these things, we are the ones digging the hole deeper. We are the ones who are creating the chaos for ourselves.
Have we ever stopped to wonder, what might happen if we all just decided to live by the Golden Rule, love one another and treat each other with respect? What if the presence of God was the most important things in our lives, and not money, or politics or skin color? If we did these things, the world would enter into an immediate state of healing and calm.
