LISTENING TO THE VOICE WITHIN, INSTEAD OF THE WORLD WITHOUT

    People will tell you how to think, how to act and even how to plan out your life's path. Organizations will tell you how to have faith, how to pray and how to connect with the divine. Politicians and politically minded people will tell you how to vote and who to vote for. There are a plethora of voices in this world that will tell you how to do an innumerable amount of things. But the greatest voice that you can follow, is that of your own intuition. That still small voice within is wiser than all of the popular opinions in the world around you. Learn to listen to this voice, learn to trust it because it is your soul communicating with you.

GIVING UP

    It seems that when the going gets tough, the thing to do in our modern age is to immediately give up. Everyone is always at the ready to throw in the towel and walk away from their dreams, their life, the relationships and many other things. We must stop and think, that when we give up on something, we not only hurt ourselves but others around us who care about us. But then again, this is a tough realization to have when so many do not even consider the feelings of those around them. We desperately need to get back to truly loving our neighbors as ourselves. And I do wish there was a way that I could tell other people how to do this. But how do we teach someone to love? I suppose the only way is to be in communion with the one who is love personified, and that is God.

REAL POWER

    It is said that love, real love, pure love, unconditional love can move mountains. It is said that such love can overcome any difficulty, heal the physical body of any disease and bring peace and harmony where there is discord. Love is the most powerful force in the universe... and I for one, believe that it is so.

MAKING A MEANINFUL CONNECTION WITH THE DIVINE

    We need to take time each day to recharge our mental and spiritual batteries. It need not be a laborious undertaking to do this. In today's world, spirituality has become over complicated along with everything else. I've never quite understood why some individuals want to make the spiritual path difficult, or hard for people to follow. It is not so. A simple faith is the most powerful faith. And you can make your connection with the Divine simply by sitting quietly for a few minutes each day, or even while driving in your car and observing the beauty of nature around you in the landscape. Your connection, your relationship with the Divine Spirit is your own. And you must find the way in which you make that connection and be sure that it is meaningful to you. You need not utter a bunch of words or say age-old prayers to make this happen. A recent YouTube video that I made may help some of you get an idea about how simple and easy it is to have meaningful time, well spent, with the higher power of the universe. Or, perhaps it will help you find your own way of making that meaningful connection. Follow your own heart and intuition when it comes to this subject; that is the most important thing of all.

WALK YOUR OWN PATH

    Walk your own path in this life. Don't follow the road that everyone else is walking upon. You are a unique individual with unique desires that make you who you are. Don't worry if the world thinks you're strange, weird or an oddball. Stay true to yourself. If you observe society around you, you will see many people who are depressed, angry, anxious and even joyless in their lives. This is largely because many of these individuals are just flowing with the stream of the world around them. They follow the latest social trends, they by the latest technology, they gain their inspiration from reading the latest meme. But their souls are starving for something else, something more that they cannot even identify any more within themselves. But you want something more, you know there is something more. And that something more lies on your individual path. Stay true to yourself, follow your heart and it will lead you to the place of ultimate contentment and happiness.

THE SPIRIT SIDE IS GROWING!

    Greetings dear blog readers, I do apologize to all of you for the few and far between entries on the blog lately. I know some of you read it daily and take inspiration from it's words. But there has been good reason for these breaks and delays. After many years of blogging, the Spirit Side is beginning to grow in leaps and bounds. There is now the Spirit Side YouTube channel, and the Spirit Side podcast; which has already launched two episodes.

    The Spirit Side podcast can be heard on anchor, Spotify, Google podcasts, breaker, Pocketcasts, radiopublic and Stitcher. The podcast will soon be available on all of the available platforms including iTunes. So I hope that many of you will listen to and support the podcast as well. There's going to be some really great content on the podcast that I am truly excited about. But have no fear, just because there are YouTube channels and podcast, does not mean the blog will be going away. As of today, October 1st 2018, the blog will resume its regular posting schedule. And of course, I will be sharing here some of the videos and links to the podcast as they become available. Whoever would have thought that this small little blog would turn into something with so many components. It is truly a blessing to be able to reach as many people as possible with a positive message of love and light. And I'm truly grateful to all of you who have read the blog over the years. You guys are the best.
