REMEMBERING 911

17 years ago today, the terror attacks took place in New York City as two planes flew into the World Trade Center buildings. Many lives were lost that day, and no matter where we are in the world, we should take a moment of silence to remember all those who were lost in this senseless attack. But let us also remember, that anything that divides us, whether it be religion or politics or something else. If it causes us to hate our brothers and sisters, then we need to eliminate that thing from our lives. Just as the radical Muslims thought they were serving God by killing innocent people on that horrific day; there are individuals today who look upon their fellow human beings as less than human. Democrats wish Destruction for republicans. Republicans wish Destruction for the Democrats. Nation fights against Nation. And all religions have their groups that look on those outside of their fold with the distain. Are not these mindsets akin to those who flew those planes into the World Trade Center buildings 17 years ago? Hate will never produce anything good. It will always end with pain and destruction. As we remember those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks today, let us remember to never repeat this atrocity for any reason whatsoever. We must eliminate hatred and Division from our minds and souls. I truly believe that if those people who lost their lives in the 9-11 attacks could speak to us today, they would deliver to us a message very similar to this one. Because it doesn't matter what the source of our hatred and division is, it will cause harm and suffering in the end. And this is something that no human being deserves.
