We are not pawns put here by some cruel chess master; nor
have we come into being to undergo suffering disease and trials. We are here to
make a journey, a journey back to our Creator. We may not know all of the hows,
whys and whens but one thing is clear... we are here for a purpose. Perhaps
that purpose is as grand as to realize the divine power within ourselves and
one day soar like the angels above the confines of this material existence; or
maybe it is as simple as learning how to love unconditionally. It matters not
what our reason for being is, and most of us will never come to know it in a
lifetime. But we can keep our attention focused on the higher realms of being
and aspire to be like the one who put us here. In doing this with a sincere
heart, we will in fact change our lives and those small crevices of the world
that we may touch in our daily affairs. And by doing this, we will at least in
some small way fulfill our higher purpose, leaving this world a better place
than we found it.
