GOOD FRIDAY
Good Friday; the day in which Christ was nailed to the cross and died for the sins of humanity. Truly for those present on that day, the events were sorrowful and dark... But we must look upon this event with different eyes today, and realize that what ended in a bloody execution, began with new life and new hope three days later. As you go through this Easter weekend, whether you are Christian or not, contemplate your own life. What "Sins," short comings, habits, mindsets or even relationships would you be better off without? What aspects of your old life and nature holds you back from being the person you truly want to be? Take them to the cross, and leave them there... prepare for your own resurrection. To rise in spirit and in consciousness is not always easy, many times it entails a sacrifice of the lower self.
