PRACTICING THE PRESENCE OF GOD

    The Divine Spirit is unseen by mortal eyes, but not unknowable through the senses of the soul. It is the still small voice that always speaks to us, and guides us through the corridors of life. It is the happy coincidence that comes as an answer to our prayer, that we often look upon as mere luck. It is the silence and beauty of nature that beckons us to mimic its tranquility. Evidence of Spirit is everywhere in our world, we just have to open our eyes and see with the sight that is beyond the physical.

    Pull up a chair, grab a cup of coffee and join me as I tell you some of the bizarre and supernatural things that have happened to me in my life. And it all began with my grandparents.

THE PRESENCE

    This morning I want to share a poem that I wrote over the weekend. It was a dismal, rainy day on Sunday. And I was in that spooky movie/gothic mood. And so this poem was born. I hope some of you will like it.

Presence

The gray sky casts haunted shadows-
their spectral hands reaching out
through the dim light of 6:00 pm.
Ouija board flickers in a candlelit haze,
as spirits roam through dreary halls-
their dead hollow eyes probing the falling black.
Corners in the room become netherworld gateways;
while backward chants call to things beyond the veil.
Black Bowles of crystal water
reflect faces of those long departed-
the window glass shimmering with their unearthly form.
Demons swim between the carpet fibers
rising occasionally to seek an unprotected soul.
The rooms of this house,
no longer of the mortal realm...
Séance eroding barriers
between the living and the dead.
